ong Beach, CA (January 7, 2026) – A hit-and-run collision involving multiple vehicles resulted in injuries late Monday night on westbound State Route 91 just east of Studebaker Rd, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred shortly before 11:20 p.m. on January 6. CHP reports indicate at least three vehicles were involved, including a black Tesla and a silver Nissan Ariya. One of the vehicles fled the scene, prompting authorities to classify the incident as a felony hit-and-run with injuries.
Emergency medical assistance was requested, and one or more individuals sustained injuries as a result of the crash. The extent of those injuries has not yet been disclosed.
Traffic was brought to a stop temporarily while crews cleared the roadway. The HOV and No.1 lanes were reportedly blocked, and multiple tow trucks responded to remove the damaged vehicles.
