Spokane, WA (January 7, 2026) – Two people sustained injuries Monday evening in a traffic collision at the intersection of West 7th Avenue and South Washington Street in Spokane. The incident prompted a swift response from emergency crews and led to partial roadway blockage during rush hour.
According to dispatch audio from Spokane City Police and Fire, the crash occurred around 6:42 p.m. and involved two vehicles. Responding officers and medical personnel reported that both occupants were conscious and alert but had sustained apparent head injuries. At least one of the injured parties was identified as a female occupant.
Both vehicles remained at the scene, partially obstructing traffic as authorities launched an investigation. Emergency responders confirmed that all individuals had exited the vehicles safely. The cause of the crash has not been confirmed and remains under review.
