Easley, SC (January 7, 2026) – Two road workers were hospitalized on Tuesday afternoon following an equipment-related incident on East Main St in Easley. The Easley Police Department responded to the scene just before 3:00 PM after a piece of asphalt-mixing machinery collided with another piece of equipment during active roadwork operations.
Authorities reported that the operator of one machine suffered a medical episode, which caused them to lose control and crash into nearby equipment. During the impact, a second worker sustained a leg injury caused by a roller attached to the machinery.
Emergency medical services transported both workers to a local hospital. Officials have confirmed that both individuals are currently in stable condition and receiving treatment for their injuries.
Our thoughts are with the injured workers and their families as they recover from this incident.
