Richmond, VA (January 7, 2026) – A traffic collision resulting in injuries was reported Tuesday night at the intersection of N Harrison St and W Leigh St, prompting an emergency response from the Richmond Police Department and medical crews.
The incident occurred around 9:42 p.m. and involved at least two vehicles. First arriving units found several individuals suffering from injuries and immediately began providing aid. Emergency medical services evaluated the victims at the scene and administered treatment for a range of injuries. At this time, the number and severity of those injuries have not been confirmed.
The crash caused delays in the area as responders worked to secure the intersection, assist the injured, and manage traffic flow. This section of downtown Richmond sees regular evening activity, and the collision created congestion while the scene remained active.
