Tucson, AZ (January 9, 2026) – A 30-year-old man sustained critical injuries after being struck in a hit-and-run crash early on Tuesday morning at the intersection of 22nd Street and Wilmot Road, according to the Tucson Police Department.
The incident occurred on January 6 under unclear circumstances. Investigators believe the man was crossing or walking near the intersection when a vehicle struck him and fled the scene before authorities arrived.
Emergency responders, including Tucson firefighters and paramedics, arrived shortly after the crash was reported. The pedestrian was found at the scene with significant injuries. Medics provided immediate aid before transporting him to a nearby hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
