Chicago, IL (January 9, 2026) – A two-vehicle collision near the intersection of Roosevelt Rd and South California Ave on Thursday afternoon resulted in reported injuries and prompted an emergency response from local fire and rescue units. The crash was first reported around 3:06 p.m.

Responding crews arrived to find both vehicles with visible damage, one partially obstructing a traffic lane. At least one person sustained injuries and received care at the scene. Fire department personnel assessed the condition of those involved and transported at least one victim to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
