Roseville, CA (January 9, 2026) – An accident during the early morning commute in Roseville left one person injured and temporarily blocked traffic at a major intersection.
The crash occurred around 6:05 a.m. at the intersection of Douglas Blvd and Sierra College Blvd. According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision involved a white Ford Mustang and a gray Toyota sedan. Early reports described a multi-vehicle incident, but it was later confirmed to be a two-vehicle crash.
Emergency responders, including CHP officers, fire crews, and local law enforcement, arrived to find one person unable to exit their vehicle. Airbags had deployed in at least one of the cars, and responders expressed concern about possible head injuries. Paramedics treated at least one individual for moderate injuries before transporting them to Sutter Roseville Medical Center.
The intersection remained blocked for more than an hour as crews assisted the injured, cleared the wreckage, and investigated the scene. All lanes were reported open again by approximately 7:11 a.m.
No fatalities were reported, and no arrests have been made at this time. The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation. Officials have not yet confirmed whether speed, distraction, or other factors contributed to the collision.
