The collision, reported around 5:39 a.m., involved a six-month pregnant woman who was found injured at the scene.
According to fire and rescue communications, the woman was bleeding and holding her stomach when first responders arrived. She had already been extracted from her vehicle and was reported to be conscious and breathing. Acadian EMS was dispatched to the scene to provide urgent medical transport and evaluation.
The incident caused significant traffic backups during the early commute, with authorities implementing traffic control measures to cover lanes three, four, and five. Fire crews, rescue units, and police coordinated efforts to secure the crash scene and manage traffic merging from nearby entrance ramps.
