Metairie, LA (January 10, 2026) – Emergency crews responded on Thursday morning to a two-vehicle crash with reported injuries near the intersection of Clary Avenue and Ford Street in Metairie.
The incident occurred around 8:47 a.m. on January 8. Dispatch records indicate that a white sedan and a green sedan were possibly involved in the collision. Units from Engine 208, Ladder 117, and others were initially dispatched, including a response to a nearby school, which was later determined to be unrelated to the accident.
Upon arrival at the actual crash scene, first responders confirmed a two-vehicle accident and began assessing for injuries. Medics provided on-site care to the individuals involved, though the number of injured parties and the severity of their injuries were not immediately disclosed.
The incident prompted a significant initial response, but once it was confirmed there was no emergency at the nearby school, most units were canceled and returned to dispatch. Unit 208 remained on scene to investigate and manage the situation.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
