Omaha, NE (January 10, 2026) – Police in Omaha have launched a homicide investigation after a woman was fatally struck by a vehicle following a reported disturbance on January 9. The incident occurred just after 6:00 p.m. near the intersection of 65th St and Ames Ave in North Omaha.
According to Omaha Police, officers arrived to find the female victim critically injured after being hit by a vehicle during what was initially reported as a disturbance. Medics from the Omaha Fire Department responded to the scene and pronounced the woman deceased shortly after arrival.
The OPD Homicide Unit is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. Officials have not yet released the identity of the victim, and no arrests or suspect information have been made public at this time.
Authorities continue to gather evidence and interview witnesses as part of the ongoing investigation.
