Griffith Park, CA (January 11, 2026) – A 15-year-old boy suffered critical injuries on Friday night in a two-vehicle crash that resulted in entrapment along the Golden State (5) Freeway near Los Feliz Blvd. The incident was reported at approximately 8:20 p.m. on January 9, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The crash occurred on the northbound side of the freeway when two vehicles collided and slammed into the center divider. The force of the impact left the teen trapped inside one of the vehicles, prompting an urgent response from Los Angeles Fire Department crews.
Firefighters worked quickly to extricate the boy from the wreckage. Once freed, he was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition. No updates have been provided on the condition of other individuals involved in the crash.
