Immokalee, FL (January 11, 2026) – A bicyclist was killed in a tragic hit-and-run crash that took place on W Main Street just east of N 11th Street in Immokalee, according to reports from Collier County officials.
The fatal incident occurred on January 9 and involved a vehicle that fled the scene after striking the cyclist. Emergency responders arrived to find the victim critically injured. Despite efforts to provide medical care, the bicyclist was pronounced dead as a result of the collision. The identity of the victim has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
The driver responsible did not remain at the scene, and authorities have launched a hit-and-run investigation to locate the suspect and the involved vehicle. No arrests have been made at this time, and officials are urging anyone with information to come forward.
