Greene, MO (January 11, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash on Saturday evening on MO-266, approximately two miles west of Springfield, resulted in moderate injuries to a 74-year-old woman, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
The collision occurred at around 6:19 p.m. in Greene County when a 2011 Chevrolet Impala, traveling northbound and driven by the woman from Willard, reportedly failed to stop at a posted sign. As the vehicle entered the intersection, it was struck by a westbound 2022 Acura ILX operated by a 20-year-old man from Springfield.
The female driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. Both vehicles were severely damaged and had to be towed from the scene, one by Pro Tow and the other by Henry’s Towing.
Authorities remained at the scene to manage traffic and conduct a full investigation into the incident. Our thoughts are with the injured woman as she recovers, and we thank the emergency responders for their prompt and professional care.
