Chicago, IL (January 12, 2026) – A multi-vehicle crash on the inbound Kennedy Expressway late on Sunday evening resulted in several individuals being injured and temporarily disrupted traffic near the Addison exit, according to emergency communications.
The crash occurred just south of Addison in the left lane of the inbound lanes between Bell Ave and Kimball Ave. Emergency crews initiated an EMS Plan 1 in response to the incident, signaling the need for multiple ambulances and coordinated support due to the number of people hurt.
Three individuals sustained moderate injuries and were transported to Masonic Medical Center for treatment. Another person with minor injuries was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital, while a second occupant was still deciding whether to seek medical care or decline transport.
Fire crews, paramedics, and Chicago police responded swiftly to the scene, securing the area and providing medical support.
