Polk, MO (January 13, 2026) – One person sustained injuries in a two-vehicle crash that occurred on Monday morning along Highway 13, approximately four miles north of Bolivar in Polk County.
A 2018 Ford Explorer, driven by a 27-year-old woman from Walnut Grove, was reportedly stopped at a stop sign around 7:30 a.m. when it was rear-ended by a southbound 2010 Lexus RX350 operated by an 18-year-old male, also from Walnut Grove. The impact caused moderate damage to the Lexus, which had to be privately towed from the scene, while the Ford Explorer sustained minor damage and was driven away.
The female driver of the Explorer suffered injuries and was transported to Citizens Memorial Hospital Clinic in Willard via private vehicle for further evaluation. Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
The incident was investigated by Tpr. N.C. Fry, with assistance from Msgt. S.W. Long. At this time, no citations or additional contributing factors have been disclosed, and authorities are continuing to review the circumstances surrounding the collision.
