Gainesville, FL (January 14, 2026) – A Wednesday morning crash at the intersection of NW 120th Ter and W Newberry Rd in Gainesville left several people injured and caused a full roadway blockage, according to local reports.
The collision occurred around 7:06 a.m. in western Alachua County, a region known for both residential traffic and commuter flow into central Gainesville. Emergency medical personnel arrived shortly after the crash and rendered aid to the injured victims on scene. At least one person required additional medical care and was transported from the area.
Due to the impact and positioning of the vehicles, the roadway at the intersection was completely blocked as responders worked to assess injuries, manage traffic, and begin cleanup operations. Drivers were urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes as delays extended through the early morning hours.
