St. George, UT (January 14, 2026) – A tragic crash involving a commercial vehicle claimed the life of one man early Monday morning on Interstate 15, just north of the Brigham Road overpass in St. George.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, the fatal incident occurred shortly before 7:00 a.m. when a flatbed commercial truck carrying construction supplies veered off the freeway and onto the shoulder. The truck rolled over between the on-ramp shoulder and the main lanes of I-15, coming to rest with its cab crushed in the process.
The driver, a 66-year-old man, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were reported to be involved in the crash, and no additional injuries were confirmed.
Emergency responders worked to secure the area and investigate the cause of the rollover. Authorities have not yet released the name of the deceased, pending notification of next of kin. Preliminary details suggest that the truck’s sudden departure from the roadway led to the devastating outcome.
UHP troopers are continuing their investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
We extend our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the driver during this difficult time.
