How Intersection Crashes on Cape Cod Roads Often Occur
Intersection crashes in residential and seasonal communities like Cape Cod often happen when drivers misjudge speed or fail to yield at crossing points. Even at moderate speeds, a collision between two vehicles can result in injuries requiring hospital treatment.
Roads such as Race Lane and Old Mill Road may have limited lighting at night, which can make it harder for drivers to see oncoming traffic or judge distance accurately. These conditions can increase the likelihood of angle or side-impact collisions.
Investigators typically review vehicle damage, roadway markings, and witness statements to determine how the crash occurred and whether visibility or driver error played a role.
