Moreno Valley, CA (January 14, 2026) – A tragic motorcycle crash claimed the life of a 25-year-old woman Monday night in Moreno Valley. The collision occurred around 9:10 p.m. near the intersection of Moreno Beach Drive and Auto Mall Drive, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Responding deputies and firefighters arrived to find a serious crash involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle. The motorcyclist, later identified as Marvonna Vaxter of Moreno Valley, was critically injured and rushed to a local hospital by emergency medical teams. Despite life-saving efforts, she was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival.
Preliminary findings indicate that the motorcycle and vehicle collided near the intersection, though the exact circumstances leading to the crash remain under investigation. Authorities have not confirmed the direction of travel or contributing factors such as speed or lighting conditions.
During the response, one occupant of the car reportedly fled the scene on foot. Deputies later located and arrested the individual on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale and probation violation. The identity of the driver has not yet been released.
