Olivehurst, CA (January 14, 2026) – A motorcyclist sustained major injuries Tuesday evening following a collision with a vehicle on southbound State Route 70 in Olivehurst, just north of State Route 65, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly before 6:00 p.m., after receiving reports of a serious crash involving a blue sportsbike and another vehicle. Upon arrival, responders located both vehicles along the highway and began rendering aid to the injured rider.
The male motorcyclist suffered significant injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. As of Wednesday morning, his condition remains unknown. The driver of the other vehicle was not reported to be injured.
Investigators are working to determine what led to the crash, including whether speed, road conditions, or other factors played a role. Traffic in the area was temporarily impacted as emergency services secured the scene and cleared the roadway.
