San Rafael, CA (January 15, 2026) – A pedestrian was tragically killed Wednesday morning following a collision with a vehicle at the intersection of Point San Pedro Rd and Summit Ave in San Rafael.
The incident occurred around 8:30 a.m., when a green Toyota Tacoma reportedly struck a pedestrian in the area. Emergency services, including Marin County Sheriff’s Office and fire personnel, were quickly dispatched. Despite their efforts, the pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.
California Highway Patrol logs indicate that the vehicle involved was later towed as part of an evidence investigation, and authorities coordinated with fire and road services throughout the morning. All lanes in the area remained affected while officials processed the scene.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the exact circumstances leading to the fatal crash, including whether speed, visibility, or other factors played a role.
