Roanoke, VA (January 18, 2026) – A 9-year-old girl was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle Saturday night in the 600 block of Williamson Rd NE, according to Roanoke Police. The collision occurred around 10:08 p.m., prompting a swift emergency response.

The child was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Officials have not released her current condition. The driver involved remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities, police said.
