Beaufort, SC (January 18, 2026) – Emergency crews responded Friday morning to a two-vehicle crash involving a U-Haul and a motorcycle at the intersection of Duke St and Ribaut Rd in Beaufort, resulting in at least one reported injury.
The incident occurred around 10:23 a.m. on January 17. Dispatch audio confirmed that the crash involved a motorcycle and a U-Haul vehicle, with at least one individual sustaining a head laceration. The injured party was treated by responding medics on scene and was likely transported to a nearby hospital for further care.
Ladder 2 and Battalion units arrived quickly and established command at the scene. Authorities reported minor vehicle damage, but both northbound lanes of Ribaut Rd were temporarily shut down as emergency personnel managed the response and ensured roadway safety.
The cause of the collision has not yet been confirmed, and the Beaufort Police Department is expected to continue the investigation.
