Shreveport, LA (January 18, 2026) – Emergency responders in Shreveport were dispatched early on Saturday morning following a traffic collision that resulted in injuries near a major highway junction. The incident occurred at approximately 5:15 a.m. on January 17 in the area of Hilry Huckaby III Ave and Interstate 220 West, near Martin Luther King Dr.
Emergency medical services and fire crews arrived promptly and assisted at least one individual reported to be injured in the crash. The extent of the injuries has not yet been made public, but paramedics treated those hurt at the scene and arranged for further care where needed.
The crash took place near a busy connector between residential zones and the I-220 corridor, an area known for early-morning traffic and reduced visibility before dawn. The road was partially affected as first responders worked to clear the scene and ensure safety for other motorists.
