Hawthorne, CA (January 19, 2026) – An auto accident involving injuries was reported Saturday night at the intersection of Hawthorne Blvd and W 135th St, prompting an emergency response from local crews.
The crash occurred shortly after 9:30 p.m., involving at least two vehicles at the busy intersection. Paramedics responded quickly to assist those hurt in the incident, treating a range of injuries at the scene. One or more individuals were transported to a nearby hospital for additional medical evaluation. Their current conditions have not been made public.
Significant vehicle damage and debris were observed in the roadway, and traffic was temporarily impacted while crews worked to stabilize the scene and clear the wreckage. Residents reported seeing fire engines and police vehicles at the site for over an hour following the incident.
Officers from the Hawthorne Police Department are investigating the cause of the accident. At this time, no contributing factors have been confirmed, and no citations or arrests have been announced.
