Redwood City, CA (January 19, 2026) – Two individuals sustained injuries following a collision involving a big rig and a sedan that led to a rollover on Highway 101 Sunday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 10:50 a.m. in the northbound lanes of US 101 near Marsh Rd. Authorities reported that an 18-wheeler with a trailer collided with a sedan under circumstances that remain under investigation. The impact caused the semi-truck to overturn onto its side along the highway’s right-hand shoulder.
Emergency crews, including CHP officers and firefighters, arrived promptly to manage the scene and tend to the injured. Paramedics transported both drivers to Stanford Hospital with minor injuries.
The collision led to major traffic disruptions, with three northbound lanes closed while officials conducted cleanup and examined the scene. One lane was reopened within the hour, though delays continued as the remaining lanes remained blocked into midday.
The investigation into the cause of the rollover remains active, with officials assessing roadway evidence and vehicle conditions.
We hope for a smooth and full recovery for both drivers involved in this accident.
