Watkins, CO (January 19, 2026) – A rollover crash involving multiple vehicles occurred early this morning on Watkins Rd near Yale Ave, leaving two individuals injured and prompting a large-scale emergency response, including fire crews, medics, and a helicopter standby.
Initial reports indicated a serious scenario where one driver, after exiting a vehicle, may have been struck and pinned between other vehicles. However, updated information confirmed that no extrication was needed, and all individuals involved were able to move around by the time responders arrived.
Engine 15 confirmed at least two vehicles were involved, with one on its side. Crews assessed two patients at the scene, one categorized as green status and the other as yellow, indicating minor to moderate injuries. Both were transported by ground ambulance. A medical helicopter was initially requested due to early concerns, but was later canceled once the scene was stabilized.
Authorities remained on scene to investigate the cause of the crash and assist with traffic management in the area.
