Jackson, MS (January 19, 2026) – Emergency crews responded on Saturday evening to a serious accident involving injuries and a vehicle fire near the intersection of Dixon Road and Clinton Boulevard in Jackson.
At approximately 7:17 p.m., Engine 15 and Rescue 14 were dispatched to the scene after reports of a crash involving at least one vehicle that had caught fire. Upon arrival, responders encountered a chaotic scene with visible flames and injured occupants needing assistance.
Firefighters quickly worked to suppress the blaze while paramedics attended to the individuals involved in the collision. Several people were evaluated on-site, though the extent of injuries has not yet been confirmed by officials. It is unknown at this time whether any victims required transport to a medical facility.
The incident led to a temporary closure of lanes in the area as responders managed both the fire and the medical emergency. The Jackson Police Department is currently investigating the cause of the crash and what may have led to the fire.
