Nashville, TN (January 20, 2026) – An early morning crash involving multiple vehicles and resulting in injuries was reported in the Chestnut Hill area of Nashville on Tuesday. The collision occurred at approximately 4:52 a.m. at the intersection of 2nd Ave S and Lafayette St, near several major U.S. routes, including US-31A, US-41A, and US-70S.
First responders, including paramedics and Nashville Fire Department crews, arrived quickly to assist those injured in the collision. Individuals hurt in the crash received on-scene treatment for a range of injuries, and at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care. The crash site spanned multiple lanes and contributed to early morning traffic disruption.
The vehicles involved sustained varying levels of damage, and emergency personnel worked to safely remove debris and restore traffic flow. Several lanes remained blocked for a time while investigators assessed the scene and documented evidence.
The Nashville Police Department is continuing to investigate the circumstances that led to the crash. Authorities are reviewing traffic patterns and area surveillance footage to determine contributing factors. No fatalities have been reported as of this update.
