The incident occurred around 5:15 p.m. on January 15 at the intersection of Norhoff St and Lurline Ave. According to preliminary findings, the victim was riding a skateboard when he was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound on Norhoff St.
After the initial impact, the driver reportedly continued westbound, made a U-turn, and fled the area without stopping to render aid or contact authorities.
Emergency responders arrived shortly after and provided medical assistance to the injured skateboarder. While the extent of his injuries has not been disclosed, he was reportedly conscious at the scene.
