Gainesville, FL (January 21, 2026) – A fatal accident was reported early Wednesday morning in Gainesville at the intersection of NW 107th Ter and NW 11th Ave, resulting in a tragic loss of life and a somber response from local officials.
The incident occurred shortly after 8:15 a.m., and emergency units responded swiftly to the scene. Despite rapid intervention by paramedics, at least one person was pronounced deceased. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the individual pending family notification.
While no roadblock was reported, the area saw increased activity as law enforcement worked to secure the scene and begin preliminary investigations. The cause of the accident has not yet been determined, and the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office is actively reviewing the circumstances.
