Orlando, FL (January 22, 2026) – A fiery collision between a sedan and a semi-truck early Tuesday morning resulted in multiple injuries and significant road closures along Orange Blossom Trail near Consulate Dr, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred when a 2003 Honda Accord traveling southbound on Orange Blossom Trail attempted to turn left onto Consulate Dr. During the turn, the sedan struck the left side of an eastbound 2025 double tractor-trailer. The impact triggered a fire in both vehicles.
Emergency crews arrived promptly to extinguish the blaze and render aid. Three individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the collision. Two were transported to HCA Florida Hunters Creek Emergency, while one was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The collision prompted a full closure of the intersection for several hours as firefighters and road crews responded to the scene. While two southbound lanes were reopened, the northbound lanes remained closed as of the latest update. Officials expect a prolonged closure for cleanup and damage assessment.
The Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
