Shreveport, LA (January 23, 2026) – A 68-year-old man was transported to a local hospital early on Thursday morning, January 22, after experiencing ongoing pain from a bicycle-versus-car accident that occurred two days earlier near Greenwood Rd in Shreveport.
The incident left the man with persistent back and shoulder pain, which worsened over time and eventually led him to seek medical attention. According to paramedics, the patient also complained of shortness of breath, particularly when attempting to take deep breaths.
Emergency responders noted the man was alert with a Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) score of 15. His vital signs included a blood pressure reading of 142/90 and a heart rate of 116, with sinus tachycardia present. Oxygen saturation was recorded at 100%, and lung sounds were reported as clear upon assessment.
Paramedics anticipated arriving at the hospital within five minutes for further evaluation and care. Though the initial impact occurred days earlier, the patient’s continued discomfort prompted urgent transport for thorough examination.
We wish the injured man a swift and complete recovery and commend emergency personnel for their continued support and responsiveness.
