Columbus, OH (January 25, 2026) – A vehicle collision resulting in injuries was reported on Saturday on the southbound lanes of Interstate 71 near the E 17th Ave exit, prompting a response from Columbus emergency personnel.
The crash occurred during the day in a heavily traveled stretch of the interstate near the Ohio Expo Center. Fire and EMS units arrived on scene to assess those involved, providing medical care to at least one injured individual. That person was transported to a local hospital for further treatment. The condition of the injured party has not yet been released.
The involved vehicle or vehicles sustained moderate damage, and traffic was significantly impacted as responders worked to manage the scene. Several lanes were temporarily closed while crews cleared debris and ensured the safety of other motorists.
