Lewis Co, MO (January 25, 2026) – A two-vehicle collision on Saturday evening along Highway B left one man with moderate injuries and caused heavy damage to both vehicles involved.
The crash occurred at approximately 7:37 p.m. on January 24, about two miles south of LaGrange. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a northbound 2016 Chevrolet truck driven by a 28-year-old man from Quincy, IL, lost control of the vehicle. In an attempt to regain control, the driver overcorrected, striking a southbound 2007 Ford SUV head-on.
Emergency crews, including Lewis County Ambulance, responded to the scene. The driver of the Ford SUV, a 31-year-old male also from Quincy, sustained moderate injuries. He was wearing a seat belt and was transported to Blessing Hospital in Quincy for further treatment. The driver of the Chevrolet truck was not reported injured.
Both vehicles were totaled in the impact and were towed from the scene, one by Peters and the other by Roberts Towing in Ewing. Authorities from the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office and LaGrange Police Department assisted at the scene, ensuring traffic safety and supporting the investigation.
Troopers from MSHP Troop B are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash, including the cause of the initial loss of control. Road conditions and vehicle speed may be contributing factors currently under review.
