Virginia Beach, VA (January 26, 2026) – Emergency responders were called to the scene of a serious single-vehicle accident on Sunday morning on Baker Rd near Pirata Pl, where a car crashed into a tree, leaving one person temporarily trapped and two people injured.
The incident occurred around 10:20 a.m., prompting the dispatch of Rescue 924, EMS units, Engine 7, Ladder 7, and Battalion 100. Initial reports confirmed that the vehicle remained upright but had sustained significant damage after striking a tree. One passenger was found pinned inside due to the positioning of the car, and firefighters worked quickly to gain access.
Once crews reached the occupants, they confirmed two individuals were inside—a driver and a passenger—both of whom were evaluated as basic life support (BLS) patients. One of the occupants was able to walk following the crash, while the second remained inside the vehicle until a stretcher arrived. EMS personnel reported good access and began transport preparations.
Baker Road Command was established by Battalion Five as crews coordinated extraction, medical support, and scene safety.
We send our sincere wishes for a smooth and full recovery to both individuals involved in this crash.
