Indianapolis, IN (January 26, 2026) – Authorities in Indianapolis responded to an injury crash involving a hit-and-run on Sunday morning at a busy east side intersection. The collision occurred on January 25 near the corner of E 46th St and Emerson Ave at approximately 11:30 a.m.

According to dispatch audio, the incident involved a Dodge Journey and a red Chevrolet Trailblazer. Emergency medical services were en route as a caller waited near the scene in front of a local Episcopal Church. One or more individuals were reportedly injured, though the extent of those injuries has not been officially confirmed.

The vehicle that fled the scene remains under investigation, and authorities are working to identify the driver involved.
