Henrietta Twp, MI (January 27, 2026) – A serious two-vehicle accident in Jackson County left two women critically injured Sunday afternoon at the intersection of Bunkerhill Rd and Berry Rd, according to officials with the Jackson County Office of the Sheriff.
The collision occurred shortly after 2:30 p.m. when a 42-year-old man from Webberville was traveling north on Bunkerhill Rd and attempted to pass a stopped vehicle. During the maneuver, he entered the southbound lane and collided head-on with a 2007 Ford Fusion.
Inside the Ford were two women from Jackson—a 54-year-old driver and a 65-year-old passenger. Both sustained severe injuries in the impact and were transported by emergency crews to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital. The 54-year-old woman is being treated for life-threatening injuries, while the 65-year-old passenger remains in critical condition.
Deputies and emergency personnel responded promptly to the scene, providing urgent medical care and working to secure the intersection. Both vehicles sustained significant damage, and the crash remains under investigation as officials work to determine whether speed, distraction, or other factors played a role.
