Isla Vista, CA (January 27, 2026) – Authorities are investigating a hit-and-run collision that left a pedestrian injured early Saturday morning at the intersection of Camino Pescadero and Del Playa Drive in the Isla Vista area of Santa Barbara County. The incident occurred at approximately 4:05 a.m. and was classified by the California Highway Patrol as a 20001 — a felony hit-and-run involving injuries.
Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene and provided treatment to the pedestrian, who sustained injuries in the crash. The victim’s condition has not been disclosed, and their identity has not yet been released.
