Aurora, CO (January 27, 2026) – A two-vehicle T-bone collision with reported injuries took place on January 26 at the intersection of South Chambers Rd and East Smoky Hill Rd in Aurora. Emergency crews, including Engine 6, Medic 102, Ladder 5, and Battalion 3, responded to the scene where one person was initially believed to be trapped inside a damaged vehicle.
Upon arrival, first responders found moderate to heavy vehicle damage and one occupant unable to exit due to a jammed door. Crews later clarified that the individual was not physically trapped but was injured and required assistance. The patient was classified as having minor injuries, and both ambulances continued to provide support as Engine 6 remained in command.
Traffic near the busy intersection was briefly impacted while fire and EMS units secured the scene and assessed those involved. There were no reports of additional serious injuries, and no extrication was ultimately needed.
