Colorado Springs, CO (January 28, 2026) – Emergency responders were called to the intersection of East Woodmen Rd and Golden Sage Rd on January 27 after a reported collision involving a bicyclist and a vehicle. The crash was first reported around 1:30 p.m. by a passing bus driver who witnessed the incident unfold.
The collision is believed to have occurred as a vehicle was turning off Woodmen Rd onto Golden Sage Rd, striking a bicyclist in the process. Although the bus driver who saw the crash did not remain at the scene, they relayed critical information through dispatch. Emergency units responded quickly to locate and assist the injured bicyclist.
Dispatch reports indicated that a driver involved in the collision stopped to help the victim, though the exact condition of the bicyclist has not been released. Officials have not confirmed the extent of injuries or whether the cyclist required hospital transport.
Traffic in the area remained active but slowed during the response. Officers worked to document the scene and gather statements from those present.
