Jefferson Co, MO (January 29, 2026) – A two-vehicle accident at the intersection of MO-141 and MO-21 during the evening rush hour on Wednesday left one driver injured and both vehicles severely damaged, according to authorities from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 5:17 p.m. when a 2006 Saab 93, driven by a 56-year-old man from Hillsboro, reportedly entered the intersection against a steady red signal while attempting to make a left turn. The northbound Saab collided with a southbound 2024 Toyota Corolla, striking its right front side.
Due to the impact, both vehicles sustained extensive damage and were towed from the scene by Leo’s Towing. The driver of the Corolla, a 24-year-old male from Cadet, was wearing a seatbelt and suffered injuries. He was transported to SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton by Rock Township EMS for medical care. The driver of the Saab was not reported injured at the time of the crash.
Emergency crews quickly secured the area, clearing debris and ensuring the flow of traffic resumed safely. Investigators from Troop C, including Tpr. C. Richardson and Msgt. Z. Kral, are managing the ongoing investigation, which has preliminarily identified failure to yield and disregard of a traffic signal as contributing factors.
Our thoughts are with the injured driver, and we hope for his full and prompt recovery.
