Los Angeles, CA (January 29, 2026) – A person was injured in a hit-and-run incident late Wednesday evening at the intersection of S Vermont Ave and W Jefferson Blvd in South Los Angeles, according to local dispatch reports.
The crash occurred around 9:58 p.m., when an unidentified driver struck a victim and fled the scene before emergency crews arrived. Paramedics responded quickly, providing medical care to the injured individual before transporting them to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. The severity of their injuries has not yet been disclosed.
The intersection, located near residential and commercial areas, was temporarily closed off as Los Angeles Police Department officers secured the scene and began an active investigation.
