Linn Co, IA (January 29, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash late Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Wright Brothers Boulevard and Maple Grove Road left one person injured and temporarily disrupted traffic in the area, according to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident occurred shortly after 4:00 p.m. when a 2017 Toyota Tundra, driven by James Rodney Carr, failed to stop at the through road and collided with a 2008 Dodge Caliber. The Caliber was being operated by Augustine Gaye Korgba at the time of the incident.
The force of the collision caused Carr’s vehicle to overturn and come to rest in the east ditch. Emergency responders arrived quickly and provided assistance at the scene. Korgba was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital with minor injuries. Fortunately, both drivers were protected by airbag deployment, which likely reduced the severity of the injuries.
Crews worked to secure the scene and begin an investigation, which remains ongoing.
