South Bend, IN (January 29, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of S Michigan St and W Bronson St on January 27 left one passenger injured and prompted a response from South Bend police and emergency medical crews.
The collision occurred during the afternoon hours and involved a white Chevy Cruze, according to police communications. One of the passengers required medical attention, and a medic unit was requested to the scene. Officers were not involved in the crash, but traffic control was immediately set up to block southbound Michigan St and prevent further congestion.
Responding units worked to evaluate the injured individual and stabilize the scene. The extent of the passenger’s injuries has not been disclosed.
