San Diego, CA (January 30, 2026) – A 22-year-old woman sustained serious injuries Wednesday evening following a vehicle collision near Frost St in San Diego, prompting a trauma response and hospitalization, according to emergency dispatch reports.
The incident occurred on January 29 at approximately 6:07 p.m. Authorities stated that the woman was struck from behind by another vehicle whose driver had reportedly been acting erratically prior to the crash. The impact caused significant damage to the vehicle and left the victim with multiple injuries.
Medical personnel from Sharp Medic 254 arrived at the scene to find the woman experiencing left-sided weakness and lower extremity pain. She also reported head, neck, and back pain and confirmed having lost consciousness briefly during the crash. She was wearing her seatbelt at the time.
Due to the severity of her condition and altered sensations in her lower body, the patient was transported to a trauma center for further evaluation and care. No additional injuries or vehicles were reported in connection with the incident.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the collision and the actions of the involved driver leading up to the crash.
