Los Angeles, CA (January 31, 2026) – Emergency responders from Los Angeles Fire and Rescue rushed to the scene of a pedestrian-involved hit-and-run accident on Friday evening that left one person injured.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:11 p.m. on January 30 at the intersection of N Main St and E 1st St in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. Authorities confirmed that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle, which fled the scene before officers arrived. The vehicle involved has not yet been identified, and investigators are currently reviewing surveillance footage and interviewing witnesses in the area.
Paramedics and other first responders provided immediate medical assistance to the victim at the scene. The injured individual sustained a variety of injuries and was transported for further treatment. The full extent of their condition has not been disclosed. Traffic flow in the surrounding area was temporarily impacted as crews worked to secure the location.
The Los Angeles Police Department has opened an active investigation and is urging anyone with information about the driver or vehicle involved to come forward.
