Garden Grove, CA (January 31, 2026) – Emergency responders from Garden Grove Fire and Rescue were dispatched Friday evening to a traffic collision that resulted in injuries on the westbound side of State Route 22 near the Haster St exit.
The crash occurred at approximately 6:58 p.m. on January 30, causing significant delays along the WB 22 Freeway as multiple vehicles were involved in the incident. Authorities have not confirmed how many vehicles were part of the crash, but witnesses reported damaged cars and injured occupants on scene.
First responders, including paramedics and fire units, quickly provided care to individuals hurt in the crash. A variety of injuries were reported, with at least one person transported to a nearby medical facility for evaluation and treatment. Traffic flow was heavily impacted while crews attended to the victims and worked to clear the wreckage from the roadway.
The California Highway Patrol is currently handling the investigation and has not yet released information regarding the cause of the accident. Motorists were advised to avoid the area while cleanup and investigation efforts continued.
