Clifton, NJ (January 31, 2026) – Emergency responders were dispatched to a reported traffic collision near the intersection of Ackerman Ave and Route 21 North in Clifton early on January 31. The crash occurred shortly after 1:30 a.m. and involved at least one person sustaining injuries.
Ladder 3 and EMS 2 were among the first units to arrive on scene. Medical personnel evaluated the injured individual, although the extent of injuries has not yet been released. Fire crews also assisted with securing the scene and supporting patient care.
The crash location, positioned near a major highway interchange, led to brief traffic slowdowns while emergency operations were underway. Officials worked to ensure safe vehicle movement around the scene and clear debris.
