Dunklin, MO (February 3, 2026) – An accident involving injuries was reported on Monday morning, February 2, at the intersection of MO 164 and US 412 in the Cardwell area of Dunklin County. The incident occurred at approximately 10:10 a.m. and involved two vehicles traveling eastbound through the intersection.
According to initial details, a 2015 Jeep Wrangler and a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox were involved in the accident, which resulted in significant damage to at least one of the vehicles. Following the collision, the Chevrolet Equinox left the roadway and struck a nearby sign, leading to state property damage at the scene.
Emergency responders from Cardwell and surrounding agencies arrived to manage the situation and assist those involved. Paramedics evaluated the occupants and provided care at the scene. An adult male driver from the Chevrolet Equinox sustained injuries and was transported by ambulance to Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, Arkansas, for further medical evaluation. A teenage female driver from the Jeep Wrangler was also involved in the accident.
Both vehicles required towing due to the extent of the damage, and traffic in the area experienced temporary disruptions while crews worked to clear the roadway. Authorities are continuing to review the circumstances surrounding the accident.
